In the days prior to MSG (Ret.) Jeremy Brown's move by the federal government from the prison in Florida to the DC gulag, Jeremy's friends and family were told that Jeremy would be put in a protected area of the jail referred to as "the J6 pod." Jeremy rightly predicted that--because it would be a greater punishment to him--it was more likely that he would be held in the general population area of the jail. He has said all along that he believed it would be the intention of the government to put him in areas where he would be more likely to be met with harm. They do not want him to be given any opportunity to speak and be heard--not in the courtroom and not in the J6 pod amongst the other J6 political prisoners.
I know it may seem at odds to hear Jeremy say that he hasn't been reporting TO THE JAIL that there have been any threats made to him. What he means is that there has been no indication to him that the other INMATES intend to put him in harm's way. The same cannot be said, though, of those who are in charge of the DC jail.
What has happened is that friends and family of Jeremy DO want him moved to the protected area with the other J6 political prisoners. In part, it is to move him into a better environment for both his physical and mental well-being. The pod he is presently in has been described by him as "filthy" and "like a dungeon." He also would have less isolation from friends and family in the protected area because it would allow him more means of keeping in communication with family and friends from the J6 pod.
But we also want him moved to the protected area where the other J6ers are being held because there have been warnings expressed directly to me that retaliatory actions could be taken against him. If the fact that Jeremy IS a whistleblower DOES put a larger target on his back, then speaking the truth doesn't increase the threat to Jeremy. It only shines a light on a threat that was there already. I was told that the reason I should stop calling him a whistleblower is because it could lead to retaliatory actions--not from the inmates--but from the facility itself. This is something that our members of Congress need to know about and need to immediately address.
Jeremy is calling attention to these abuses of our government now because he is in a position to do so. But make no mistake, these abuses have been going on for years now and did not just begin upon his arrival to the DC jail. Actions from those who serve within our government who still consider themselves to be among "the good guys" are LONG overdue. We should not allow the "good guys" in government to throw their hands in the air and say that there is nothing they can do when law-abiding citizens continue to be denied their freedom and are treated so poorly.
The second part of this update from Jeremy includes him sharing the reasons that he believes they do not want him to be moved to the "J6 pod."
The jail has made it clear that their idea of "protection" for Jeremy is to offer to send him to the worst and most dangerous part of the jail, OR to put him in solitary confinement ("the Hole"). And, given that I have been loudly warned that Jeremy being a whistleblower could make him even more of a target of those who run the DC jail, I am going to become even louder in my efforts to get him moved into a protected area with the other J6ers where he will have safer and better conditions and where he can share with the other inmates how the appeal in his own case might help them in their own legal defense. Jeremy WOULD like to be moved to the "J6 pod" so that he could speak to the other inmates and share with them information that he believes might be beneficial to them in their own legal defense.
For Jeremy's sake, and for the sake of all of those who continue to be held as hostages of our government, please continue to make calls to help bring some much needed oversight to this corrupted system that has twice now tried to place him in WORSE conditions after calls were made to try to get him moved to the protected aread of the "J6 pod."
